So this was really cool: I went to get my laundry and when I came back to my room, it was just after midnight, so Kate, Laurie, & Markie had 'Birthday' by the Beatles BLARING in our room. A quick sexy Shannon dance ensued.
Those of you 'in the know' maybe recall the infamous Slutty Cupcake Birthday Dress from last year. It, of course, had to make another appearance.
Prison Princess & Birthday Princess (It's not offensive to Laurie because here she's dressed in a prison costume for our show. Also she's a criminal. For real.)
At dinner I was sang to by everyone, and Markie had secretly bought me a birthday cake and candles (which turned out, to my dismay, to be *trick* candles) and it was just lovely. In every way.*NOTE* My dad reminded me that I've actually spent my 15th, 16th, and 17th birthdays in Europe as well.
Who gets to celebrate birthdays 22 & 23 in Europe?
ReplyDeleteJust by the numbers, I'm thinking there are hundreds, possibly thousands, of Europeans who are green with envy that you got to spend birthdays 1-whatever and whatever-21 in the States. (This seemed much more impactful made far more sense in my head before I 1) realized that you spent some years/bdays abroad and 2) I didn't know which ones they were)
In any case, it looks like you had a blast. Best wishes for the next 23 years and beyond!
