Ben - The Solo Show

Charlotte Gosselin, a French actress and a friend of ours, has arrived at the abbey to stay with us for the last few days we are here.

For more than a year she has been working on a solo show called 'Project Ben,' directed by Didier Girauldon, which we were fortunate enough to get a 30 minute excerpt of tonight!

An amazing piece. It was about the young generation of French adults who are facing extreme rates of unemployment and feelings of disillusionment. Ben wanted to be a firefighter when he was young but now delivers pizzas.

Here Ben remembers spending mornings drinking coffee with his mother.

We only got to see 30 minutes of it, and it was mostly in French, but all the same, it was an experience which will stay with me for a long time.
