8:00 Church bells are stupid. The sun is too bright. My muscles hate me. Grumble grumble eat breakfast grumble.

9:00 Lecoq class usually takes place in an old car shop garage that we cleaned out ourselves, but today we did warm ups and some new pushing/pulling exercises in the orchard. Someone in our group *coughMAXcough* got a little over exuberant and pushed Kate too hard.

She pulled a serious muscle in her leg and had to miss out on the rest of the day's physical activities. Being the good friend that I am, I of course offered myself as a crutch to help her back to her room... and um, stopped along the way to take pictures of her pain for my blog.
12:30 Midday Break. Laurie & I go back to our room to find a very drugged up and happy Kate. We make pasta for lunch and while Laurie naps, I work on my blog because I can't disappoint my legions of fans.

2:30 Depending on the day of the week, now is the time for either Andjez & Theresa's object based Kantor class, or Andrea Cusumano's devised, space-based class. Today, however, the two classes were combined so we could demonstrate what everyone's been working on all week. Which of course means, more MEATBALL!

And Max unveils his bio-object that he's been working on. A bio-object is sort of like a stage prop, an object that is an extension of a character. It is intrinsically linked to who the character is and how he behaves, and the actor builds it himself so there is an authentic relationship between the two.
5:00 We break for an hour before dinner. People sometimes use this time to run to Pontlevoy's grocery store to stock up for breakfast and lunch because its operating hours are... elusive, by American standards. It's something like 8AM-6PM with a 3 hour lunch closure, every third day and only when the moon is in the Seventh House and Jupiter aligns with Mars.

6:30 DINNER TIME! Included in the trip's costs is one dinner every weekday at Le Commerce across the street. The way in which this small French restaurant tries to accommodate our group's many vegetarians and food allergies is always quite the adventure.
8:00 While the rest of the Drama Collective goes to an evening class and watches crazy theatre videos, my group of 3 goes to rehearsal for our show. Which over the past few days has meant looking for a performance space.

Badass, no? Oui.

11:00 Drinking French wine with all of the other students under the night sky, celebrating the end of our first week! Sorry that there are no pictures of this event. Sometimes I don't feel like being that girl with the camera. I'm annoying enough as it is. ;-)
I think your day was so much more interesting than mine. But mine GOT more interesting by being in France vicariously!!!
