Le Enterprise

I made the mistake of watching 2 chick flicks on the flight to Paris. Crying my face off in a flying box full of strangers 35,000 ft above the ground is a fun way to spend 6.5 hours. The culprits: 500 Days of Summer, a great film which takes a scathingly honest look at breakups. And the heartwrenchingly stupid mush puddle of a movie, Dear John. Oh, and I watched The Book of Eli, but that flick was much less chick.

Other highlights of the trip included:

...spilling more drinks on myself, this time just water. (Note to Shannon - Remove cup from tray table BEFORE attempting to close tray table)

...enjoying red wine with my gourmet chicken-and-pasta-in-a-warm-plastic-box cuisine.

...the blue lights which came on to signal bedtime but instead of inducing sleepiness, I suddenly felt like I could boldly go where no man has gone before.

  1. I loved 500 days of Summer. I laughed my face off.

  2. Excellent Star Trek reference. You know, Jean Luc Picard was born in La Barre, France...just sayin'.

  3. I saw Patrick Stewart in "Hamlet" at Royal Shakespeare Company (so did Kate!) in '08 and unwittingly was sitting next to him in the RSC cafe before the show. Glad you made it safely!
