Class is in Session

Warming up for our first class of the day: Lecoq, the class that kicks your ass but does it politely and with a British accent.

Andjez (pronounced AHN-JAY) does a quick chalk sketch for us. This man. He is a founding member of a groundbreaking European theatre troupe called Cricot2. And I get to see him *everyday.* He even allows me to butcher some Polish with the 4 or 5 phrases that I know. When I run out of things I know how to say, I guess I'll just have to ask him to kiss me. (PocaƂuj mnie.)

This scene was hilarious. No words - just grunts, sighs, and Laurie shrieking "Nahnahnahnahnah!" I am beginning quite the love affair with Kantor-esque theatre. So different from anything I've seen in the states.

Andrea Cusumano, the sexy Italian professor from Central St. Martins, introduces us to the world of devised space theatre. Who would ever want to perform on a sterile, isolated stage again, once you've acted in a living, breathing French orchard?!

Here at the abbey, the days are long, the work demanding, sleep is in short supply, but oh, how I love my life.
